Our visual field techs love the MASK-it eye patches. They are a single-use, hygienic substitute for the old pirate patches, which were not clean, and telling patients that they are cleaned with an alcohol swab is not true. If you believe that, next time you go to a hotel, tell them to wipe the sheets with an alcohol swab instead of changing them. You can’t clean material with alcohol swabs, you just wet them!
